Greater Akron Chamber's KNOW Empowering Women Lunch Featuring Kirsten Leno

Greater Akron—Join KNOW on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, for the next Empowering Women Luncheon to hear from Kirsten Lino, Vice President, Akron Business Banking Team Leader, FirstMerit Bank (Now part of The Huntington National Bank). 

Kirsten leads a team of experienced and dedicated Business Bankers in the Greater Akron market. Her team has developed subject-matter expertise in the areas of manufacturing, non-profit lending, dental and medical practices, technology and services businesses, international business, commercial real estate and more.

Kirsten has been in banking since 1996, and her background includes working with business owners, medical professionals, real estate investors and non-profit organizations of all sizes. She has several years of experience in community and economic development finance, healthcare bond financing and middle market lending. Kirsten is an active advocate for business growth and development in Northeast Ohio.

Kirsten’s personal brand is a mission-driven person leading a mission-driven life, and therefore she has a passion for working with mission-driven organizations, both through her work in banking and in service to the community. She consistently seeks to be engaged in organizations that impact women and girls, economic development, the arts, and the community at large.  Since she was a young girl, Kirsten wanted to change the world, and she has been able to do that through the impactful work of the boards that she serves on and by  leading and supporting community engagement for her team.  She currently serves the following organizations:  Board President of Women's Network, the Board of Directors for the Greater Akron Chamber, and the Board of Directors for the Summit Choral Society.

Kirsten is honored to have served in the United States Marine Corps from 1992 to 2000. Kirsten believes that her military background has given her an edge in both life and career. The Marine Corps taught her that flexibility, fortitude, teamwork and attitude are everything.  Kirsten lives, works and plays in the Akron community and considers her greatest accomplishment in life to be her daughter, Sierra, age 22.

KNOW is a personal and professional development program for businesswomen in the Greater Akron Region.  Our mission is to cultivate the talent within each other by reaching out to today’s women executives and tomorrow’s leaders.
