Join us on February 21, 2018 to hear a panel discussion on "Business Management: Doing it a Woman's Way".  The panel will be moderated by Kristie Warner, Owner & Salon Manager, Gavin Scott Salon and Spa. Panelists include:

Kristie Warner
Warner,-Kristie.jpgKristie attended The University of Akron where she majored in Interpersonal Communications with emphasis in Organizational Development.  For 10 years, she worked as a grant writer for various non-profits in Akron and Washington DC.  She currently owns Gavin Scott Salon & Spa in Stow.
Kristie is a dedicated community volunteer and fundraiser serving Akron Children’s Hospital; The Black Tiger Gridiron Club; American Heart Association; American Red Cross; Akron Snow Angels; Akron Zoo;  RAHAB Ministries and The Rape Crisis Center
Ms. Warner resides in Akron with James, her husband of 17 years.

Julie Brandle
Brandle,-Julie-(1).jpgJulie Brandle is the President and Founder of Metis Construction Services, a female-owned commercial general contractor located in Kent, Ohio focusing on interior renovations, ground-up construction and facilities maintenance throughout Northeast Ohio.

With nearly 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing, and public relations, Julie oversees these areas of expertise for Metis along with being an integral part of the ownership team that designs and manages the overall business strategy for Metis.


Theresa Carter
As President of OMNOVA Solutions Foundation,Theresa provides leadership and strategic direction in managing the operation of OMNOVA Solution’s $27 million Foundation.  She is accountable for community relations through charitable giving in each of OMNOVA’s company site locations worldwide. 
She serves on four non-profit community boards and several advisory councils and committees. Theresa has been honored with many awards and recognitions throughout her career, including most recently the OMNOVA Solutions Chairman’s Award (the Company’s highest honor).

Tia Ramlow
Tia Ramlow is President and majority owner of Great Work! Employment Services. She has been steadfast in growing and evolving the family-owned business in order to keep it current, vibrant and relevant in spite of two recessions.

Great Work! specializes in recruiting employees  for manufacturing and distribution centers in Northeast Ohio.  She employs a staff of 22, over 500 field employees and has five locations.

Katie Sutter
As co-owner of Excelsior Marking, Katie concentrates on Operations, Marketing, and Strategic Planning. The 100+ year old manufacturer solves businesses identification needs in three main areas - Precision Machining, Prepress Graphics and Visual Communications. She is passionate about developing a dynamic organization that "gives back" to the community it serves.
Katie is a Board member of The Women’s Network and InfoLine/211; Committee member of the Akron Chamber’s Small Business Council, the Summit County Manufacturers Network, United Way’s Women United, and 2018 Humane Society of Summit County. Excelsior also received the 2017 Greater Akron Chamber’s Excellence in Business Award. The loves of her life are her husband, 2 sons, and her dog Riley.
