Scene75 Cleveland's 80,000 square-foot venue features a full-service restaurant, two bars, an indoor electric go-kart track, a two-story laser tag arena, 18 holes of black-light miniature golf, more than 110 video and prize redemption arcade games, six mini-bowling lanes within a boutique lounge, bumper cars, a 4-D theater complete with motion seating and special effects, a bouncing inflatable arena, a laser maze, several private party and banquet rooms for birthday parties and corporate events, a concession stand, and more. 2nd Annual Merry Mingle on Nov. 30


A  collaborative social event with AAF-Akron, AMA, NEO, NSME, NEOCC, and PRSA, this second annual holiday charity networking event benefits YEPAW (Youth Excellence Performing Arts Workshop).  $10 cover charge. There will be a cash bar, food stations, themed basket silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle.  6:00 p.m. YEPAW performance; 7:30 p.m. Raffle winners announced.  YEPAW uses the arts to engage middle and high school urban youth in activities that provide positive options for developing their talents, skills, and self-esteem.

Event: The Ruby Group Charity Golf Outing

Weaver ProPak Obtains ISO 9001:2008 Certification


Greater Akron—Weaver ProPak (ProPak), a division of Weaver Industries, Inc., is proud to announce its ISO 9001:2008 certification.  Weaver ProPak was recently certified as ISO: 9001:2008 compliant after a thorough analysis of its quality systems by Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc., an independent third-party registrar.
ISO 9001:2008 is the latest and most rigorous of the 9001 standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and provides numerous requirements that must be met in order to receive certification, including:

Event: The Impact of Marijuana Legalization on Business & the Workforce of the Future


Summit County Community Partnership is hosting a workshop on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, from 8:00 - 10:30 a.m. on the impact of marijuana legalization on businesses and future workforce. It will address common questions currently asked by both employers and their employees about marijuana and its possible legalization. Event: OPEN M Fire & Ice Celebration Fundraiser


To support programs and the overall mission of OPEN M, they are having a fundraiser on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Todaro’s Party Center from 6:00 -10:00 p.m. This exciting evening includes appetizers, dinner, cash bar and entertainment. Event: Building Brighter Futures Community Celebration


Play. Eat. Win. Fun for the whole family! Join Peoples Bank on Saturday, July 25, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as we celebrate our community with a day of fun, games, give-aways, and a free lunch! National Hamburger Festival Rewards NEO Employees


Akron Festival Offers Companies a Way to Give Back

Greater Akron—Civic pride.  Those are the common words people use when talking about the National Hamburger Festival, which will be held in Akron’s Lock 3 Park August 8-9, 2015.   But organizers of the festival, who are celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, are taking that civic pride to a new level by offering the National Hamburger Festival Employee Appreciation Program for Northeast Ohio businesses.   As part of this unique package deal, companies can purchase bulk quantities of admission tickets for their employees, while seamlessly making a charitable donation. Proposerly is a free online service that allows individuals to upload files and create shareable proposal URLs that can be approved or declined. This free service creates on-the-fly proposals with digital signatures, providing quick and easy review and feedback.

Stan Hywet Hosts Free Community Day on August 16 - A Festive Day on the Estate to Celebrate 100 years


Greater Akron—Stan Hywet hosts its official 100th anniversary celebration, a free COMMUNITY DAY, on Sunday, August 16 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Last entry is at 4:00 p.m.
The day highlights the history Stan Hywet, showcases the Estate's many seasonal events and activities and celebrates the volunteers of Stan Hywet. Guests may enjoy vintage "base ball," music, lawn games geo-caching and more. Complimentary self-guided tours of the Manor House feature "History First Hand" historic characters. The 100th anniversary celebration includes a commemorative program with local dignitaries from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.
