Local Businesses Invited to Share Best Practices at Lean Six Sigma Conference on May 11

For the first time, The Corporate University at Kent State University at Stark is holding a one-day conference targeting novice and seasoned professionals for a day of immersion with Lean Six Sigma experts.
In today’s global market competition ranges from companies down the street to companies across the world and organizations must focus on cutting waste and streamlining processes to remain relevant and profitable. Dozens of local business employees successfully complete Lean Six Sigma training and certification every year at Kent State Stark. Sponsoring employers of participants are realizing cost savings of tens of thousands of dollars on subsequent projects. For every dollar spent on Lean Six Sigma training with Kent State University, employers estimate a 37-to-1 return on investment.
“Lean Six Sigma provides organizations with a systematic approach to enhance profitability and overall business performance as well as improve productivity and customer satisfaction. Virtually any key business process – operational, service, manufacturing, design or purchasing – where the Lean Six Sigma methodology is properly applied and sustained can return high yield, bottom-line results,” said Faith Sheaffer-Polen, director of The Corporate University.
Facilitators include Lean Six Sigma training veterans Robert Skillman, Stephen Skillman, Daniel Nicol, and John Novak.  Between them, they offer more than 75 years of expertise and skill in keeping companies competitive and sustainable.
Cost of the conference is $295 and includes breakfast and lunch. To register, contact Mona Zink at (330) 244-3508 or [email protected] For an agenda and more information about the conference, visit http://www.kent.edu/stark/cucc/conferences.
