AEDO Accreditation

Accredited Economic Development Organization
 

The Greater Akron Chamber has been recognized by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) as one of the 36 economic development organizations accredited by IEDC as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO). The Greater Akron Chamber is the first organization in Ohio to receive this distinguished accreditation.

The AEDO program is a comprehensive peer review process that measures economic development organizations against commonly held standards in their profession. The program consists of two phases: A documentation review and an onsite visit.

Earning the AEDO accreditation tells the community and prospects that the Greater Akron Chamber has attained a measure of excellence assuring that their trust is well placed and their business is in good hands.

Awards

Professional economic development organizations have recognized the Chamber’s excellence in economic development within the region, the state and internationally. The Chamber’s Business Retention Program, the “Greater Akron Partnership” has received numerous awards recognizing its efforts in business retention and expansion.
