Public Policy Agenda

The Public Policy Agenda mirrors the Advance Greater Akron investment priorities of talent, innovation, and leadership. With the help of our members and partners, we utilize a policy framework to guide responsible decisions that foster growth, job creation, and a strong quality of life for our communities.  The Chamber's 2017 Policy Priorities reflects this framework and assists us in communicating our members' positions.

Engagement

The Greater Akron Chamber believes it's important for members to build and maintain relationships with those who make decisions at the local, state, and federal level.  The Chamber gives members the chance to stay informed on policy and issues while providing the opportunity to engage elected officials, candidates, and government representatives to discuss important issues.
 

Statehouse Series

This unique members-only program allows members to speak directly with those making decisions on topics that impact the state’s business climate. During this annual series of events, members can expect to meet decision makers through a variety of events including (but not limited to) panel discussions, roundtables, luncheons and breakfast events. Make Your Vote Count

Voting is a right and the ultimate expression of our freedom.  As the voice of the business community, the Greater Akron Chamber encourages our members to promote the importance of voting to their employees and to educate them on the ballot issues.  Visit your county board of election website on how to register to vote, vote early, or find your polling location.
