Ensuring Quality Schooling from the Start

A great education begins with a solid foundation at the preschool, elementary, middle and high school levels. In Greater Akron, students are instructed by dedicated teachers within 35 public school districts in Medina, Portage and Summit Counties. There are also several private and parochial high schools, 94 percent of whose graduates go on to college. A greater proportion of high school students in Greater Akron score higher on the ACT and SAT college aptitude tests than do high school students in general throughout the nation.
