2009 Economic Stimulus

In February 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This Act is an effort to jumpstart the economy to help save and create millions of jobs, creating a lasting effect on the economy and propelling the United States into the 21st Century.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act aims to modernize our nation’s infrastructure, improve upon our energy interdependent and efficiency, preserve and improve the affordability of healthcare and provide tax relief and assistance to those in need. A portion of the money has been given to states to expedite utilization.
