Department Overview
Finance & Administration
The finance & administration department oversees the day-to-day operations of our facility and develops long-range financial and resource plans for projects, programs, and initiatives in the Strategic Plan.
Business Development
The business development department offers assistance for new and expanding industry and provides details on economic opportunities in the Northeast Ohio counties of Medina, Portage and Summit. In addition, the department is the region's source for the information is the region's source for the information and current data to help you make sound business decisions. We maintain a business library, publish business reports, and prepare customized research reports.
Government Affairs
The government affairs department represents the interests of our membership at the local, state, and federal levels by advocating for issues of importance to economic development.
Business Services
The business services department recruits our members and maintains relationships with them. Business services hosts our many networking events and coordinates our Member Benefits programs.
Marketing & Communications
The marketing and communications department is responsible for promoting the Akron Region to the world. In addition, the department creates all of the Chamber’s promotional and marketing collateral including electronic communications, a quarterly newsletter, media relations, and other communications needs.
