Higher Education Made to Order

Thirteen colleges and universities are located within commuting distance of Greater Akron and offer a full range of undergraduate, and graduate programs. Within a 50-mile radius are thirty-two colleges and universities — more than any region in the country, with the exception of New York. The University of Akron and Kent State University have combined enrollments of 55,000. These universities interact with the business and industrial community by offering courses and internships responsive to their needs.
