Honoring our Region's Young Professionals
The Greater Akron Chamber celebrated the accomplishments of thirty Greater Akron Region young professionals at the 2nd Annual 30 for the Future Awards Gala on Monday, September 8, 2008, at Carousel Dinner Theatre, sponsored by Huntington Bank. As part of the Greater Akron Chamber's strategy to attract and retain talent in the region, the 30 for the Future award honors young professionals (ages 25-39) whose stellar contributions impact their industries and the Greater Akron Region.
The 30 for the Future award recipients were nominated by members of the Greater Akron Chamber and regional profit and non-profit organizations, including many of the region’s Young Professional organizations. An independent Advisory Council selected the recipients based on the finalists’ Leadership Documents, which showcased professional and community accomplishments, team-building, leadership and creativity in overcoming obstacles.
