PLUG IN to Enhance your Career - Community - Commitment
The Greater Akron Chamber is excited to introduce the Young Professionals Network (YPN), a new personal & professional development program designed to help the Greater Akron Region’s Young Professionals CONNECT to each other and to our community.
Q. Why is the Greater Akron Chamber launching this program?
A. The Greater Akron Chamber is committed to making an impact on the retention and attraction of talent in the greater Akron area in order to meet the future workforce and leadership needs of the community. We believe that by connecting our region’s YPs to each other and to our community, we will be better able to accomplish that goal.
Q. How much does YPN membership cost?
A. YPN membership is free! To become a member, all you have to do is join YPN’s mailing list. However, there is a charge to attend most YPN events. Admission ranges from $20-$50, depending on the event. Generally, this price will include all entertainment, food, and non-alcoholic beverages. Depending on the event, one or more drink tickets may also be included in the price.
Q. How can I PLUG IN?
A. There are two ways you can plug in to the YPN:
- Become a YPN member. (e-mail byers@greaterakronchamber.org to join YPN’s mailing list)
- Attend YPN events.
Q. What’s in it for me?
A. Participation in YPN will help you enhance your career, your community, and your commitment to the Greater Akron Region. You’ll develop new skills, meet new people, and try new things. Most of all, you’ll have fun!
