Chamber Presents The Morning Buzz on July 14 Featuring Maureen Ischay

Greater Akron—The Morning Buzz is a monthly speaker breakfast series, which aims to connect small- and medium-sized businesses by facilitating the exchange of ideas and strategies for business growth and success.  On Friday, July 14, join us to hear from Maureen Ischay, Sr. Director of Development, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum.
With more than 17 years of fundraising and nonprofit management experience, Maureen is currently Sr. Director of Development at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in addition to providing consulting services for a variety of clients. She has a broad background in foundation and government support, corporate solicitation, individual giving, major gifts, and special event planning.
Ms. Ischay has worked on business planning; financial budgeting, modeling, and forecasting; board development and recruitment; strategic planning; and database migration, procedures, and protocols. She is an invited speaker at conferences and seminars locally and nationally and was selected as one of 25 participants nationally to participate in the first National Arts Education Leadership Institute (July, 2010) as a next generation arts leader in the country.
Ms. Ischay pursued doctoral work in Medieval Musicology at Northwestern University, during which time, she worked on the creation of the International Dictionary of Black Composers through the Center for Black Music Research at Columbia College.
The Morning Buzz will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Akron, 1307 E.
