Greater Akron Chamber's KNOW Luncheon Presentation

Greater Akron—Join KNOW on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, for the next Quarterly Luncheon to hear Candace Curtis present "Tees, Greens and Birdie Bags.”  Candace will discuss how she successfully juggles her life as a wife to PGA Tour Golfer, Ben Curtis, mom and co-founder of the Ben Curtis Family Foundation, which was founded to help alleviate childhood hunger.

Candace has lived in Kent for most of her life, and taking care of the children in her community is very important to her.  She is a mother of two school-aged children and sees firsthand the need for food to be sent home with children on the weekends.  Candace handles the day-to-day operation of the Foundation and oversees all of its marketing and event planning.  She handles all the food ordering and the packing and delivering.  She is also in contact with the principals at all four Kent schools to make sure the needs of the children are being met.

In 2003, Candace and Ben were married the week while he was playing in the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

KNOW is a personal and professional development program for businesswomen in the Greater Akron Region.  Our mission is to cultivate the talent within each other by reaching out to today’s women executives and tomorrow’s leaders.  For stories that inspire, innovative ideas and practical solutions, plan to be a part of the Greater Akron Chamber’s exhilarating program developed exclusively for women.

Registration and networking begin at 11:00 a.m., and the program is held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Portage Country Club, 240 North Portage Path, Akron, Ohio 44303.  To make a reservation, call the Greater Akron Chamber at (330) 376-5550 or register on-line at www.greaterakronchamber.org.  RSVP by noon on Friday, April 17, 2015.
