Resilience is the ability to recover from or adapt easily to change or difficult situations. Every day we are inundated with change and difficult situations. How we deal with those situations is directly related to our mental, physical and emotional well-being. This discussion introduce the concept of resiliency and how to cultivate a resilient mindset.
Jennifer Savitski, MD, FACOG, is the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. She is the first woman to hold that position in the 105 year history of Akron General. She is also the Medical Director of the Forensic Nursing program called the PATH Center – Providing Access to Healing. The PATH Center provides specialized, trauma-informed care to patients of CCAG who have needs related to victimization. Since its opening in Nov 2015, the PATH Center has cared for over 1000 patients who have experienced sexual violence, physical assault, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, elder abuse, child abuse or other types of victimization.

Dr. Savitski graduated from the University of Akron and received her medical degree from East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Akron General Medical Center.
