Career Advancement is intentional and takes deliberate initiative and planning.  Leadership Toolbox is designed to equip aspiring leaders with the ability to craft their future. 

This series of courses is designed to teach practical tools from business writing to self-advocacy to working with the media.  

Workshops meet online monthly from 8:30 am – 11:00 am on the following dates:

June 10 - Exploring the Impact and Trauma of the Covid-19 on Mental and Emotional Health
July 8 - Be Coachable
Aug 12 - Executive Presence
Sept 9 - Self-Advocacy
Oct 14 - Prepared for Anything

The June 10th Leadership Toolbox will focus on Exploring the Impact and Trauma of the Covid-19 on Mental and Emotional Health led by Christina Burr, MBA, MAEd, LPC and Esther Kostich, MA, LPC, CDCA, Therapists at Red Oak Behavioral Health.  Thousands of people are struggling with the trauma of intense stress, loneliness, and radical uncertainty during these unprecedented times of COVID 19.  
This session will cover:
o   Defining trauma – Large T versus small t trauma
o   How our bodies store and respond to cumulative stressors and traumatic experiences
o   The emotional impact of ongoing uncertainty  
o    Finding courage and resiliency to  adjust to a “new normal” in our professional and personal lives
o   Taking a trauma informed approach into the workplace
o   Evidence based coping skills and resources 

Christina Burr, MBA, MAEd, LPC, at Red Oak Behavioral Health was an Accountant, Senior Auditor and  Controller  who switched careers to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Visiting Professor at the University of Akron.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who brings her 18 years of experience as a business leader to the world of mental health.  Christina holds an MBA in Healthcare Administration from Walsh University and an MAEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron.  Prior to working in the counseling field her past roles have included Corporate Controller of Aultman Health Foundation and Chief Audit Executive at the University of Akron where she is also an adjunct profession in the College of Business Administration.  Christina strongly believes in the mind body connections and that thriving in life requires a lifelong commitment to self-exploration.  

Esther Kostich, MA, LPC, CDCA at Red Oak Behavioral Health is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Red Oak Behavioral Health, working primarily with high school aged students with a wide range of diagnoses. She received both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Education in Clinical Counseling from Malone University. She has a special focus on treating addiction and trauma in children and adults.
