C:\Users\Biggs\Pictures\Cindy Biggs 2, 2016.jpgJennifer Savitski, MD, FACOG, the Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and is the instructor for the Leading with Strengths fall cohort. She is the first woman to hold that position in the 105-year history of Akron General. She is also the Medical Director of the Forensic Nursing program called the PATH Center – Providing Access to Healing. The PATH Center provides specialized, trauma-informed care to patients of CCAG who have needs related to victimization. Since its opening in Nov 2015, the PATH Center has cared for over 1000 patients who have experienced sexual violence, physical assault, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, elder abuse, child abuse or other types of victimization. She was also recently named by Gov. Mike DeWine to a two-year term on the Ohio Commission on Minority Health. Her goal in joining the commission is to continue to work to decrease the health disparities that persist in all areas, but most especially maternal health issues.

Dr. Savitski graduated from the University of Akron and received her medical degree from East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Akron General Medical Center. She is a proud resident of West Akron where she lives with her husband and three teenage daughters.
