Akron Racers Announce 2015 Five-Team NPF Schedule


Akron, OH - The Akron Racers kick off their 14th season of play with a two-game set on the road beginning May 30, in Washington, PA, home of the Rebellion. The 48-game Racers schedule sends Akron on the road for their second series against Chicago, June 4-6. The much anticipated opening weekend is scheduled for June 11-14. The Racers welcome the Rebellion for Akron’s first four-game series and the start of a 13-game home schedule in June. The 2015 NPF schedule features a number of twists including two, three and four-game series. The five-team schedule also moves the professional game around the country to introduce more and more fans to its elite players and teams.

Akron remains at home for a three-game series on June 17-19 when they host the Chicago Bandits. The Racers defeated the Bandits in the best of three-game series to advance to the 2014 NPF Championship Finals.  On June 20th the Racers welcome the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team and then resume league play on June 21-23 against the USSSA Pride. This will be the first meeting of the two teams since the 2014 NPF Championship Series. Chicago returns to Akron on June 25-27th.

The Racers head to Colorado on June 29th for a four- game series against the league’s newest member, the Dallas Charge, before returning home on July 7-9. The Racers will host their first mid-week day-game on July 7th at 11am against the Pride. The two teams will return to the diamond later that evening for the completion of the day/night doubleheader.
The Racers will host the Dallas Charge for the first time at Firestone Stadium, July 17-18 and on July 20-21. The Charge return to Akron, July 31-August 1. The Racers wrap up the 2015 season, at home, against the Rebellion, August 10-11.
The Racers will be announcing further details regarding times, venues and promotions for the 2015 NPF season. The 48-game schedule includes 25 home contests.
