The Salvation Army Hires Former University of Akron Administrator

The Salvation Army hired Theresa Beyerle, Ph.D., as Director of Institutional Research. Beyerle was most recently with The University of Akron where she was Associate Director, Institute for Teaching, directing the University’s service learning program.
“Dr. Beyerle is playing an important role for The Salvation Army,” said Major Kevin E. Jackson, Summit County Area Services Corps Officer and Area Coordinator. “She will help us measure program performance aligning efforts with outcomes with a goal to exceed the community’s—and our grantor’s—expectations.”
Beyerle earned her bachelor’s in English from UA, a master’s in teaching from Kent State, a master’s in social administration from Case Western Reserve University, and a Ph.D. in public administration and urban studies from UA.
Beyerle brings more than 25 years of active involvement in the Akron community with an emphasis in the nonprofit and social service sectors. She currently serves on the boards of the Summit County Historical Society, Proyecto RAICES, and chairs the board of Crown Point Ecology Center. In addition, she volunteers for the Rubber City Roller Girls, along with a number of other community advisory boards.
